I think everyone goes through a murder mystery phase at some point in their life. Mine happened when I was a teenager, and it was WONDERFUL. I would get all of my friends together, and I would have to coolest Murder Mystery Parties that you could picture.

So you can imagine my excitement when my little sister texted me this weekend and said she wanted to throw her own murder mystery party for her and her friends! Since I am a pro at this point, I stepped up to bat to help her plan it.

Sadly, she shut me down pretty quickly because, apparently, throwing one of these game parties is a lot simpler than it used to be. They have entire kits online that you can order that cover everything for you. Naturally, this leads me down quite the rabbit hole.

I used to have so much fun at my murder mystery party, so it makes my heart happy to spread that fun around for everyone. I think one of the main things that discourage someone from throwing a murder mystery party for teens is how hard they are to put together. Well…not anymore!

These have left me SO EXCITED. Now that I am an adult, my murder mystery parties have one thing that can add to the overall fun that I never had as a teen…Alcohol!

Throwing parties might seem like they are more trouble than they are worth, but going the extra mile for your teens will help them feel more loved. Plus, they will be creating memories outside of their phone screens, and who doesn’t want that?
